Union Bank & Trust is seeking a College Savings Field Representative to promote the Illinois Bright Directions College Savings Program to financial professionals across the state. The role requires extensive travel and a hybrid work setup, with emphasis on building relationships with investment professionals and staying current on 529 program developments.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree (preferred) and relevant experience in mutual funds, investments, or tax, along with

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Mutual fund, investment, finance, tax and/or financial planning experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and in working with other financial software.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Mansioni

• Make proactive marketing calls (in-person and phone) to financial advisors and other investment professionals to strengthen Bright Directions relationships.
• Visit non-producing financial advisors and firms to introduce Bright Directions College Savings Program and encourage future utilization.
• Plan, schedule appointments, and implement effective weekly travel throughout the state.
• Act as subject-matter expert on 529 programs, staying up to date with industry developments and trends.
• Research and implement campaigns and messaging.
• Attend and promote Bright Directions conferences and events.
• Provide regular updates to the 529 Field Marketing Coordinator regarding activity and trends.
• Assist with functions of the 529 department as needed.
• Understand and adhere to bank policies, laws and regulations; complete compliance training.
• Report all compliance issues in accordance with bank policies.
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
