Avalon Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead to oversee the staffing crew in our distribution center in Avondale, AZ. The role pays an hourly rate of $19.50 and requires supervision experience, organizing staffing for new work orders, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The position works Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with background checks and drug screening. We offer comprehensive benefits starting on day one and opportunities to grow within a leading logistics staffing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of previous experience in supervision.
• Some Spanish is preferred to communicate with the staff.
• Previous recruiting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison for new work orders and coordinate staffing.
• Perform warehouse sanitation activities with staff as needed.
• Manage scheduled cleaning tasks by frequency (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Ensure labor hours are accurately reported in the timekeeping software.
• Ensure staff have PPE and use it properly.
• Conduct weekly safety tailgate trainings.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Inspect areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.

About Our Customer

A leading supply chain solutions provider dedicated to delivering innovative transportation, warehousing, and distribution services. Their services include freight management, dedicated transportation, distribution, warehousing, and supply chain analytics, all designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. They are currently seeking a Team Lead to oversee the staffing crew in their distribution center.

Hourly Rate: $19.50

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

What You'll Do

• Serve as a customer liaison for new work orders and special projects, coordinating staffing as needed.
• Perform warehouse sanitation activities along with the employees as needed to help the customers production.
• Manage the scheduled cleaning tasks by their assigned frequency (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Ensure labor hours are accurately reported in the timekeeping software.
• Ensure that staffing associates have the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is used properly.
• Perform and document weekly safety tailgate trainings.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation guidelines and safety standards.
• Inspect areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.

What You Need to Qualify

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years of previous experience in supervision
• Some Spanish is preferred to communicate with the staff
• Previous experience in recruiting is a plus.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software.
• Previous experience reviewing time clock entries in HRIS.
• Good interpersonal skills with a polite demeanor toward staff and clients.

• Constant (80%) standing and walking during workday.
• Frequent (50%) pushing, pulling, grasping, stretching, bending, twisting, reaching over head.
• Occasional (30%) stooping, climbing, and squeezing.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
