Job summary

Sulzer in La Porte, Texas, is seeking a 5-Axis CNC Mill Programmer to design, optimize, and support complex multi-axis machining. You will develop CNC programs from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models, improve cycle times, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of dedicated 5-axis milling experience and expert knowledge of Mastercam 2024 or later.

• Minimum five years of dedicated experience programming 5-axis milling machines.
• Proficient in Mastercam 2024 or later.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tooling, fixturing and manufacturing processes.

This role supports the production of high-precision components by developing efficient machining strategies, improving cycle times, reducing tooling costs, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of five (5) years of dedicated experience programming 5-axis milling machines and demonstrated expertise using **Mastercam 2024 or later versions**, which is a required qualification for this position. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of multi-axis machining, tooling, fixturing, GD&T, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to independently develop, prove out, and optimize complex CNC programs from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
