Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking skilled diesel fleet technicians to inspect, diagnose, and repair refuse trucks, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and PTOs.

Starting pay is $25–$32 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments; ASE certs add a .50 bump per T Series ASE. Benefits begin after 60 days; shift is 2pm–12:30am, Monday–Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
  • Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Sign On Bonus: $5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Shift: 2pm-1230am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
