Riverview Elementary School in Spotsylvania County, VA, seeks a General Education 4th Grade Teacher for the 26/27 School Year. The role focuses on designing coherent instruction aligned with Virginia Standards, planning lessons, and assessing student learning to support diverse learners.

This position is a 10-Month (200 Day) contract with a competitive salary and a robust benefits package including PTO accrual, health plans, Virginia Retirement System, tuition reimbursement, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to obtain appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia and School Board.
• An acceptable rating of prior teaching experience, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in assigned locations and times.
• Designs instruction aligned to Virginia Standards and curriculum goals.
• Plans lessons and prepares for classes with evidence of preparation.
• Diagnoses student needs and uses time/materials/resources to match abilities.
• Evaluates progress and provides prompt feedback with records.
