Job summary

Johnston Elementary School in Irving, Texas seeks a 4th Grade ESL Teacher for the 26-27 school year. The teacher reports to the campus principal and must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate; ESL certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA policies and regulations.
• Access and use data to plan instructional strategies reflecting accommodation for individual needs.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula according to IEPs.
• Plan and supervise activities while working with students in the classroom.
• Use technology to strengthen and enhance teaching and learning.
