Job summary

The Sunshine House is seeking a Childcare Teacher in Easley, SC to help shape young minds in a caring, safe environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s in ECE or related field preferred; an Associate’s degree with progress toward a Bachelor’s is acceptable.

A minimum of 6 months in a licensed childcare setting is preferred. Starting compensation is $17 per hour, with potential increases for advanced education and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field required (Associate's Degree acceptable if pursuing Bachelor's).
• At least 6 months of experience at a licensed childcare center preferred.
• ECD 101 or higher for assistant teachers.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Develop engaging classrooms where children can learn, play and grow.
• Support children’s social and emotional development.
• Foster a love of learning through Creative Curriculum and Brain Connect programs.
• Build partnerships with families through daily updates and conversations.
• Implement the SC First Steps 4K curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten.
