Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of 2+ full‑time employees (Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), Customer Service Representative(s)).
  • Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the store clean, stocked, organized and well kept to company standards.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisor.
  • Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain store image.
  • Implement non‑discriminatory management skills during hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating and separating employees.
  • Develop positive professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
  • Provide regular and predictable on‑site attendance.
  • Promote and ensure a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
  • Prepare ongoing performance appraisals in Workday (30‑, 60‑, 90‑day, 12‑month and anniversary check‑ins).
  • Provide training to all employees on customer service, store image, marketing execution, safety procedures, cash awareness, and other company standards.
  • Ensure employees complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Develop communication methods to keep all employees informed; conduct periodic meetings with all store employees and the District Manager.
  • Evaluate and develop action plans to address store needs and reach objectives.
  • Organize and maintain all store files and manuals.
  • Supervise employees to complete required and requested reports accurately and timely.
  • Supervise proper stocking, attractive display and correct pricing of merchandise.
  • Ensure all required employment‑related posters and signs are accessible to all employees.
  • Analyze daily sales and expense information; take appropriate actions to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Budget and forecast P&L lines; understand and manage merchandise margins.
  • Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
  • Notify District Manager of any sales, cash, inventory or operating discrepancy.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years retail work experience or equivalent education, training, experience.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff for use of equipment, tools and materials as outlined in CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions.
  • Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions.
  • Computer literacy (report completion, inventory control, cash control, employment forms).
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Open availability.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform essential duties described.
  • Ability to work in the conditions described below.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Food Server certificate (e.g., ServSafe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
  • Exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes; occasional work in walk‑in cooler/freezer and outdoors.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs from ground to overhead.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs from ground to waist.
  • Grip, reach, and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift (eye‑hand coordination).
  • Push/pull with arms up to 20 lbs force (hand‑truck).
  • Reach overhead for objects.
  • Bend and twist at waist.
  • Communicate orally.
  • Operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
  • Stoip, kneel, squat, bend, push, pull.
  • Work alone.
  • Exposed to occasional noise.
  • Stand or walk entire shift.
  • May require climbing a ladder to retrieve or remove signs.
Work Environment
  • Work requires 50 hours per week; may include all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Approximately 95% of work indoors; includes cleaning parking lots, gas pumps and garbage removal.
  • Exposure to extreme cold temperatures in walk‑in cooler/freezer.
  • Exposure to occasional noise.
  • Minimum direction with periodic supervision.
