Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to lead risk management, compliance, and security authorization for critical government systems assigned to Fort Meade, MD. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience (or a Master’s with 6+ years), IAM Tier 1, and strong RMF/NIST 800-53 knowledge.

Active TS/SCI with a polygraph is mandatory; competitive salary offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience.
• An Associate's degree or 18 semester hours of military coursework in a computer-related field plus 10-years of relevant experience or HS diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification.
• Experience with NIST 800-53 RMF and defense-in-depth architecture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate security posture for information systems.
• Monitor networks for non-compliance and vulnerabilities.
• Follow security processes and participate in the RMF continuous monitoring program.
• Perform regular audits of information systems.

We are looking for a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to lead the risk management, compliance, and ongoing security authorization of critical systems to ensure they meet strict government and industry cybersecurity standards. This position will support one of our government clients in Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system
• Support continuous monitoring of networks to detect and correct areas of security non-compliance, unmitigated vulnerabilities, and other risks
• Follow consistent security processes and play a role in the information systems continuous monitory program
• Perform regular audits of information systems
• Assist the information systems security manager in preparing the information system for periodic reaccreditation

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience.
• An Associate's degree or 18 semesters hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an ISSO/ISSE with emphasis on Defense-in-Depth principles, network, and enterprise security architecture
• Experience applying the principles of the NIST 800-53 including the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Familiarity with STE/STN requirements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

$153,000 - $171,000 a year

The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.

Clearance Requirement

This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Candidate Referral
