Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is hiring a Waste Process Technician I for the 3rd shift (10pm–6:30am) to safely perform essential waste processing tasks. The role includes off-loading inbound trucks, QA/QC, container verification, data entry, sampling, and operating shredding and loading equipment.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, 1+ year experience, and the ability to pass a respirator fit test.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in waste processing or similar.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.
• Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
• Safely operate mobile equipment within the facility boundaries.
• Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• Waste stream QA/QC & Lab analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste and material.
• Complete and submit all facility associated paperwork related to regulatory and safety record keeping.

About the role

This is a 3rd shift position the hours for the role are 10pm – 6:30am. The Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks which may include the following based on individual Business Unit: off-loading inbound trucks, waste stream QA/QC, verify container count, manifest number and other relevant data needed for waste processing. Container sampling, recognizing non-conforming material, and processing of material through shredding operations, direct loading into solidification pit, LDI, etc. The WPT I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment. Specifically, via forklift, forklift attachments, hose, and valve operation.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.
• Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
• Safely operate mobile equipment (e.g., yard dog) within the facility boundaries.
• Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• Waste stream QA/QC & Lab analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste and material.
• Complete and submit all facility associated paperwork (facility receiving, piece count, material verification, manifest review, etc.) associated with regulatory and safety record keeping paperwork.
• General cleaning of facility and grounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
• 1+ year of experience
• Able to pass respirator fit test
• Ability to utilize NetSuite
• Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail and time management
• Must be able to operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods of time
• Walking and/or standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Consistently perform safely in various weather conditions and work environments.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.

The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 18.85 - 25.05 USD per hour
