Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Experience operating forklift and handling material in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow work orders, read shipping documents, and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and related equipment to load/unload and move material.
• Review shipments and notify management of shortages or damages.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark with information.
• Read work orders or instructions to determine assignments.
• Record units moved using sheets, tickets or handheld scanners.
• Sort cargo before loading/unloading and maintain neat warehouse areas.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.
• May assist as lead or supervisory assistant as needed.
