Alex Lee is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to perform skilled maintenance and repair on refrigerated and dry trailers. The role includes night shift hours (Sun-Wed, 9pm–7am) and requires strong diagnostic and welding skills, plus ASE certifications and carrier-thermo-king training.

You will work under the Fleet Maintenance Manager, use a work order system, and participate in safety orientations. This position may require other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED; 5–10 years hands-on diagnosis and repair of trailers.
• ASE certification in Air Brakes and Suspension is required.
• Refrigeration Carrier–Thermo King training is preferred.
• Electrical repair and diagnosis experience.
• Carrier and Thermo-King certification.
• Preventive maintenance training.
• Welding proficiency in stick or MIG for steel and aluminum.
• CDL is preferred.
• Able to bend, twist, and lift up to 100+ lbs and pass lifting tests.
• Work under Fleet Maintenance Manager direction and bring own basic tools.

Responsabilidades

• Proficient in Air Brake and Suspension maintenance.
• Maintain refrigeration units and perform preventative maintenance.
• Welding or structural repair on trailer frames and panels as needed.
• Replace flooring, roof, and side panels of trailers.
• Repair trailer doors, wiring, and lights; troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Attend training sessions as assigned by management.
• Use company work order system to track assignments and time.
• Assist other trailer mechanics as needed.
• Follow site safety orientation and plant rules.

Overview

The Trailer Mechanic performs skilled maintenance and repair on all areas of refrigerated and dry trailers.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Air Brake and Suspension.
• Proficient in maintenance on all refrigeration units.
• Preventative maintenance training.
• Acceptable welding training or experience with major and minor trailer structure repair.
• Replacing flooring, roof and side panels of trailers.
• Changing cables, drums and operators of roll-up doors.
• Trouble shooting and repairing of electrical wiring on trailer lights.
• Attend and successfully complete any training as assigned by management.
• Utilize company work order system for assignments and track time.
• Helps other trailer mechanics in other technical areas as needed.
• May be required to perform other tasks as assigned by Manager.
• Working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 5-10 years of hands-on diagnosis and repair of all areas of a trailer.
• Must be ASE certified in Air Brakes, Suspension
• Refrigeration Carrier-Thermo King training
• Electircal repair and diagnosis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Carrier and Thermo-King certified.
• Preventive maintenance training
• Proficient at Welding either stick or MIG either steel and aluminum.
• CDL is preferred.
• Must be able bend, twist, and lift upto-100+ lbs. and pass lifting test.
• Work under the general direction of the Fleet Maintenance Manager.
• Must have own basic tools and tool chest.
