PIM Brands in Somerset, NJ, seeks a 3rd Shift Packaging Team Lead to manage packaging line operations, leading approximately 50 associates. You will drive lean initiatives, safety, quality and productivity while building a talented, engaged team.

The role reports to the Packaging Manager and benefits from a comprehensive on-site work environment with strong development opportunities and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelors degree in Management, Engineering or another related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of similar management experience in a packaging environment, preferably within confectionary industry.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) language preferred, and strong overall communication skills required.
• Strong focus with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.
• Intellectual and analytical horsepower with ability to apply problem solving techniques and take on business challenges.
• Demonstrated personal and professional values, being a role model & positive influence on those around him/her. Demonstrates unquestionable integrity and character.

We are looking for a 3rd Shift Team Leader, Packaging interested in a career with a top ranked and growing snack company, to join our Production/Packaging department at PIM’s Somerset New Jersey location. This position will report to our Packaging Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a 3rd Shift Packaging Team Lead interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Maintenance department team at PIM Brands in Somerset, NJ location.

The incumbent serves as the first line leader and has responsibility for all packaging line operations, approximately 50 associates on a designated work shift. Through strong leadership, establishes the goals for the team, drives world-class operational performance through lean initiatives, and has overall responsibility for Safety; Machine Care, Sanitation, and Maintenance; Quality; Productivity; Cost; and, People. Will not only drive operational performance but develop exceptional talent through hiring great talent, development activities, and employee engagement initiatives.

Physical Demands/Essential Job Functions

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions

Work Environment

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

The pay range for this position is $$70,000 - $80,000.
