3rd Shift Sweeper Driver job at Low Impact Development Technologies LLC. Gorham, ME.

JOB PURPOSE: Operates sweeper and other vehicles to clean and maintain assigned route and sites. Willing to train the right candidate.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

• Complete daily sweeper inspection log.


• Drive street sweeping vehicle to clean properties of trash, debris, and other contaminants.


• Empty garbage cans and replace bags (Only on specified sites)


• Fill on-board water system.


• Operates on-board water system to facilitate debris and dust collection.


• Operates controls to activate rotary brushes and drives sweepers near curb lines.


• Dumps collected debris into designated dumpsters.


• Operates backpack blower and hand tools in areas sweeper can not access.


• Uses company WEX card for fueling (Sweepers, Blowers, Trimmers)


• Keep equipment clean and stocked with supplies needed for everyday operations.


• Other tasks as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Two years driving experience

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Maintain a valid Driver’s license


• Maintain a valid DOT Medical Card (Company will pay and assist)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting, standing, walking, driving, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs. multiple times per shift, talking, hearing, and seeing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Spends most time outdoors, frequent exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
