JOB TITLE: 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor

SUPERVISED BY: Director of Branch Operations/Warehouse Superintendent

Position Summary:

To facilitate the warehouse function to ensure Benjamin Steel meets or exceeds our customers' expectations in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Train, supervise, and develop staff to meet company and individual goals.
  2. Verify all loads for accuracy, identification, appearance, and safety.
  3. Inspect all incoming loads for accuracy and report quantity and condition to purchasing.
  4. Dispatch trucks efficiently while meeting customers' needs.
  5. Accurately complete paperwork and documentation necessary to receive, ship, and stock material.
  6. Coordinate material transfers with other Branches.
  7. Serve as a resource for communication, training, safety, human resources, mechanical issues, customer service, etc., for all staff.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned to benefit the Company.
  9. Coordinate work needed from shift to shift.
  10. Maintain good attendance, which is an essential function of this job.
Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, production, or leadership responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational, math, logistical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of warehousing, material processing, and product applications.
  • Proven ability to lead staff, maintain confidentiality, balance multiple tasks, and represent the company's best interests.
