UNIS Transportation is seeking an experienced Class A CDL driver for a local shuttle and yard goat role in California. This local position involves shuttle runs between nearby facilities and yard operations with trailers, requiring strict adherence to safety standards.

The role offers home daily hours, a 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and benefits including insurance and a 401(k). Prior experience in high-volume yards and yard goats is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 2 years verifiable Class A driving experience
• Experience in a high-volume yard environment
• Yard goat/hostler operations preferred
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Acceptable MVR and safety record
• No DUIs or major driving violations
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
• Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screening

Responsibilities

• Shuttle trailers and freight between nearby distribution facilities
• Operate a yard goat in a busy yard
• Perform trailer moves, drops, hooks, and yard positioning
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Follow all DOT, safety, and company regulations

LOCAL SHUTTLE & YARD GOAT POSITION

Are you an experienced Class A CDL Driver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume yard environment?

UNIS Transportation is looking for experienced drivers to join our team!

This is a local driving position involving shuttle runs between nearby distribution facilities, as well as operating a yard goat to safely move trailers throughout a busy yard.

PAY: $28.00 PER HOUR

3RD SHIFT: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

LOCAL POSITION – HOME DAILY

What You'll Be Doing

• Shuttle trailers and freight between nearby distribution facilities
• Operate a yard goat in a busy, high-volume yard
• Perform trailer moves, drops, hooks, and yard positioning
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Follow all DOT, safety, and company regulations
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment

Experience in a high-volume yard is required

This position is ideal for experienced Class A drivers who are comfortable working around constant trailer movement and understand the importance of safety, awareness, and efficiency in a busy yard environment.
