Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 3 North Surgical unit on 3rd shift. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate admissions and discharges, and educate patients and families as part of a comprehensive care plan.

Qualifications include current KY RN licensure, and either a BSN or ADN. BLS required, with ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia coursework as applicable. Full-time, on-site position with strong patient-centered care focus.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic life support - if not on hire, must complete within 30 days.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, and care planning.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges on the unit.
• Deliver patient and family education and ensure safe healing and wellness.
• Support post-operative management and ongoing treatment of conditions on 3 North Surgical.
