Job summary

JTEKT NA in Piedmont, SC seeks a dedicated Quality Technician for the 3rd shift (11pm–7:30am) to support manufacturing operations and uphold quality policies. You will perform component and heat‑treat inspections, weld testing, and receiving checks, contribute to problem solving for nonconformances, and help maintain 5S and standard work.

Strong metrology, GD&T, SPC knowledge, and the ability to work in a team are essential, as is willingness to learn and adhere to safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Metrology and gage calibration experience.
• Metallurgy basics and heat treat testing.
• Problems solving capabilities, especially related to manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GD&T and SPC.
• Product and performance testing.
• Willing/able to learn to operate and maintain various equipment with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity.
• Ability to understand and demonstrate standard work and support company policy.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Perform measurements of components and assemblies.
• Perform heat treat inspection including cutting, mounting, polishing and hardness testing.
• Perform weld testing/inspection.
• Perform receiving inspection when needed.
• Assist in problem solving for nonconformances.
• Conduct basic PM and 5S duties.
• Others duties as assigned by management.
