Job summary

Jtekt-North-America- in Vonore, Tennessee, is seeking a Production Technician to operate and monitor machining and automated equipment on the 2nd shift. You will load components, run multiple processes, perform quality inspections, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives while rotating across lines.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, charts, graphs, blueprints, and gauges.
• Experience with visual inspections to identify defects and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Load components into production machinery and automated equipment.
• Operate equipment across washing, welding, boring, mounting, pressing, drilling, installation, and detection processes.
• Control machine operations via control panels and automated systems.
• Report equipment or production issues using the Andon system.
• Monitor performance to meet specifications and production requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections for porosity, surface flaws, or damage.
• Rotate among multiple production lines as assigned.
• Maintain inventory at workstations and perform 5S housekeeping.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work overtime, weekends, and additional shifts as required.
