Job Description

Perform surface finish operations, gaging, and utilization of manual and automated equipment according to manufacturing and quality procedures. Inspect components for compliance with quality and engineering requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing
• Ability to work independently
• Basic shop math skills in all units of measure, along with ability to read and use gauges and measuring instruments
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail

Typical Day

• Perform surface finish operations
• Perform gaging
• Utilize manual and automated equipment in accordance with manufacturing and quality procedures
• Inspect work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance with quality or engineering requirements
• Operate an industrial truck

Physical Demands

• Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE
• Walking, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting are part of the hands‑on learning process
• Frequent and prolonged standing/walking
• Heavy lifting (45+ pounds)
• Repeat bending, straight pulling and pushing
• Exposure to intermittent noise (90 DB)
• Ability to distinguish basic colors
• Exposure to epoxy, solvent, degreasers, paint, vapors, heat, dust and smoke from burning

Additional duties may be performed outside of your function or trade; adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Salary: $21.18 per hour, with progression in 12 months to full rate. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
