Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Assembler/Painter for the 3rd shift in York, PA. This full-time role involves using spray equipment to apply paint and primers, selecting appropriate colors, preparing surfaces, masking, and ensuring proper coverage throughout the process.

Responsibilities include mixing and thinning paints, maintaining supplies and equipment, and keeping a clean, safe work area. Candidates must meet education requirements and follow safety rules per plant policies.

Qualifications

• Must have current forklift license and be certified for Respirator use.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in painting tasks.
• Ability to read, understand safety rules and manuals in English.

Responsibilities

• Use spray equipment to apply paint and primers.
• Prepare surfaces, mask areas, and ensure proper coverage.
• Mix, thin, and prepare paints for application.
• Maintain paint supplies and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure cleanliness of work area and paint kitchen.
• Report injuries and observe safety/environmental rules.
• Operate related test equipment and perform quality checks.
