Job summary

Transco Rail Services is seeking a Painter to produce finished coatings per customer specs. On-the-job training available, with opportunities for experienced painters in blasting, painting, and insulation work.

The role requires cleaning, masking, color matching, and applying paints safely. You’ll work with paint guns and blasting tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a drug test and physical. Medical/dental/vision benefits and a 401(k) match are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to clean equipment and remove grease, dirt, rust, old paint.
• Knowledge of painting/blasting tools including paint guns, sanding tools, grinders.
• Mix and apply uniform paint coatings according to specifications.
• Prepare equipment for painting and blasting restoration, tapes and mask equipment, mixes paint and color matches.
• Inspects finished product for quality and follows safety procedures.
• Able to work around chemicals and fumes common to paint operations.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and climb/ balance on ladders.
• Must pass drug screen and physical.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Painter to provide finished products based on customer specifications. This position requires someone willing to learn a new trade through on-the-job training. We also have roles for more experienced painters that have a working knowledge of blast, paint and spray foam insulation.

Job Requirements:

• Able to clean grease, dirt, rust, old paint from equipment using solvent, water, rags, brushes, pneumatic wire brush and chipping hammer.
• Knowledgeable in the use of painting/blasting tools not limited to paint guns, sanding tools and material blasters, grinding tools, etc.
• Mix and apply uniform paint coatings according to customer and industry specifications.
• Prepares equipment for painting and blasting restoration, tapes and mask equipment, mixes paint and color matches.
• Inspects finished product for overall quality and follow established safety procedures.
• Ability to work around chemicals and fumes common to paint and body repair.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed and perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.
• Able to pass drug screen and physical.

Pay Range:

27.90 - 34.10
