Job summary

Drug Plastics & Glass Company Inc. is hiring for a Packer Inspector on the 3rd shift. This part-time, on-site position supports our packaging operations, ensuring products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include assembling cartons, labeling, inspecting bottles per PQS, and reporting daily production data. Applicants should be able to perform manual tasks, lift up to 55 lbs occasionally, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math ability including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and PQS forms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must make sound decisions and take appropriate actions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Ability to hear clearly in a factory setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain empty cartons from conveyor or other sources.
• Prepare cartons for stack-packed or tumble-packed products and place them as required.
• Apply carton labels as defined in DPG Policy #002.
• Inspect bottles according to policy and PQS; work with stack or tumble packed items.
• Remove full cartons from packing stand or tumble pack area and close according to procedure.
• Grind all scrap and rejected bottles produced by the machines.
