Job summary

Abbott in Altavista, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for the 3rd shift in the Nutrition Supply Chain. You will safely manufacture adult, pediatric and medical nutritional products and support continuous production.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating computer-controlled equipment, QA checks and accurate workorder documentation; forklift experience preferred and strong adherence to FDA/OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely manufacture Abbott Nutrition products on the Altavista line.
• Weigh, handle and dispense ingredients as required.
• Receive and unload bulk ingredients and chemicals.
• Operate computer-controlled processing equipment.
• Complete workorder documentation accurately.
• Perform quality checks on products and processes.
• Clean equipment and production areas.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
