Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. in Bogart, GA seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on production and facilities equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maximize equipment efficiency while upholding company safety policies.

You will work independently and with plant personnel, using CMMS to manage work orders and support continuous improvement. A high school diploma or GED is required, with strong mechanical/electrical skills and PLC/CNC experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical trade certificate a plus.
  • 3+ years experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair.
  • Experience with PLC and CNC test equipment for troubleshooting and PMs.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, from basic hydraulics to CNC machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Use CMMS to manage work orders and review history.
  • Collaborate in a team to determine root causes and drive improvements.
  • Follow safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement activities.

He or she will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. He or she will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Performs both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery
  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
  • Effectively troubleshoots failures and works in a team environment to determine root cause of failure
  • Participates in plant shift meetings and continuous improvement activities
  • Utilizes CMMS system to manage work orders and review work history
  • Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate a plus
  • At least three years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair
  • Experience with PLC and CNC test equipment to include troubleshooting, repairs, PMs, and other world-class maintenance measures
  • Experienced, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment operations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly motivated, disciplined problem-solver/troubleshooter
  • Strong ethics and the ability to work in team environment
  • Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
