Job summary

Signature Systems, a Myers Industries company, seeks a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician/Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment in a fast-growing manufacturing environment in Orlando.

The role requires reading schematics, PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics, plus strong mechanical skills; the ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing, is dependable, and can work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred in mechanical/electrical/industrial maintenance.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical skills and PLC experience.
• AC motors, electrical panels, power distribution and VFDs experience preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings and diagrams; good attendance and reliability.
• Ability to communicate in English and work in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain electrical equipment, wiring and components to code and safety standards.
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment during and between shifts.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Diagnose problems using test results and operator information; replace parts as needed.
• Repair mechanical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; test and adjust as required.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance; use tools and meters safely.
• Report hazards or unusual situations to supervision and maintain safe working conditions.
