Job summary

Kent Quality Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Hudsonville, MI facility on the 3rd shift. The role focuses on preventing downtime through proactive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues, and documenting work in our CMMS.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in a production maintenance environment, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Three years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance.
Strong electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical system troubleshooting capabilities.
Respect for safe work practices and quality control.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Willingness to learn from peers and share best practices within maintenance.
Ability to communicate maintenance updates to peers, departments, and management.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Results-oriented mindset with ownership for outcomes.
Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, percentages, rates and ratios.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, work in refrigerated environments, and lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment and facilities.
Complete work orders in accordance with procedures, schematics or manuals.
Conduct daily inspections and walk-throughs as time allows.
