Job summary

STS is seeking a maintenance technician to support robotics and electrical systems on the production floor. The role emphasizes diagnosing mechanical and operational issues, planning corrective actions, and ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, test new or refurbished equipment, and coordinate with operators to minimize downtime. Overtime and off-shifts (2nd or 3rd) may be required as production demands grow.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Adherence to IATF 16949 requirements.
• Adherence to ISO 14001 requirements.
• Adherence to Environmental Health and Safety Regulations.
• Ability to work overtime and off-shifts (2nd or 3rd).
• Capable of supporting production alongside operators.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans corrective actions.
• Tests newly installed or refurbished machines to ensure specifications and safety.
• Performs preventive maintenance on unscheduled equipment to reduce downtime.
• Notifies supervisor of recurring malfunctions and corrective actions, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
• Maintains positive communications with other shifts and departments for consistent information.
• Follows plant safety requirements as established by company policy.
• Works with operators to support production.
• Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as needed to support team objectives.
• Reads and understands work instructions.
• Adheres to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements and EH&S regulations.
• Must be able to work overtime and off-shifts (2nd or 3rd).
• Performs other tasks as required by supervisor.
