Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment, and to perform preventative maintenance on tools used in the manufacturing process while supporting plant facilities.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, strong mechanical aptitude, safety knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves machinery and equipment problems and malfunctions.
• Performs mechanical and electrical repairs on machinery and tools to maintain production.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and tools to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions.
• Provides plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance assistance as required.
• Helps install new equipment.
• Perform other tasks as required by Manager.

Summary

TheMaintenance Mechanicsupports manufacturing by diagnosing and resolving machinery and equipment issues. The Maintenance Mechanicalso performs regular preventative maintenance on equipment and tools used in the manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities, as well as provides facilities support throughout the plant.

• Performs mechanical and electrical repairs on machinery and tools to maintain production.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and tools to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions.
