Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated (NYSE: RBC) in Fairfield, CT is seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Operator Floater Secondary Machinist. The role involves operating hydraulic presses, hones, lathes, CNC equipment, and other machine tools to meet production needs.

You will maintain jigs, tools, and measuring instruments, load programs, adjust collets, and perform offsets to ensure parts meet blueprints. The job requires attention to safety and accurate production records in a busy shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic presses, hones, lathes, CNC equipment and other pertinent machinery at production levels.
• Maintain an orderly inventory of jigs, tools, dies and measuring instruments.
• Call up new programs and change collets as required.
• Perform offsets and change inserts to ensure parts meet blue print specifications.
• Conduct simple maintenance on tools and machines, including sharpening and lubrication.
• Maintain accurate production records and counts; keep a safe, clean work area.
• Move work as required and support other duties as assigned by supervision.
