Job summary

The Kroger distribution center in Bluffton, IN is hiring a Logistics/Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related systems to keep warehouse operations running smoothly.

Candidates should have basic trades skills, be comfortable using hand and power tools, read technical instructions, and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and manuals.
• Skilled with hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license; high school education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and dock doors and levelers.
• Repair minor electrical, HVAC, plumbing and dock doors and levelers.
• Assist / monitor equipment process parameters and enter data into CMMS.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools; operate diagnostics equipment.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors; maintain clean work areas.
