Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a 3rd shift Logistics Production Manager to join our manufacturing site in North Carolina. You will collaborate with the team to maintain and improve processes and systems for producing our equipment.

Responsibilities include prioritizing work, ensuring timely material flow, and coordinating outbound shipments, including overseas documentation. Ideal candidates bring Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and tools used in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibits critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative.
• Familiar with order to delivery, engineering and/or manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve shop floor safety, eliminating unsafe processes.
• Determine priorities and sequence jobs.
• Schedule resources and adjust staff to meet flow and customer requirements.
• Ensure production material is procured and distributed to meet schedules.
• Increase production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Drive root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement.
• Manage outbound shipments and documentation for overseas shipments.
