Job summary

EK Machine in Wisconsin is seeking a 3rd shift Fabrication Supervisor to lead the fabrication department, program and operate fabricating machines, and prepare workloads as directed by management.

You will communicate with the Fabrication Manager, verify part conformity to specs, and train new 3rd shift staff on logging in and operating light curtains. Expect a hands-on role with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training and a High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and the public; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rates, ratios and percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Regular lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 80 pounds; able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3rd shift in the Fabrication Department and supervise employees.
• Program, set up, and operate fabricating machines.
• Prepare workload for machines based on manager’s instructions.
• Communicate with Fabrication Manager on shift; report performance data.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications.
• Instruct 3rd shift personnel on computer log-in/log-out and light curtain procedures.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment and document data.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
