Job summary

Life Line Emergency Vehicles in Sumner, IA is seeking a 3rd Shift Electrical Assembler to install, route, and terminate electrical systems in custom ambulances. You will follow detailed schematics, work instructions, and quality standards to build reliable, mission-ready vehicles.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, using hand and power tools, and delivering quality workmanship in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
1+ year electrical assembly experience preferred in manufacturing, automotive, RV, marine, or similar.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to stand, bend, reach and work in confined spaces within vehicles.

Responsibilities

Install and assemble electrical components including wiring harnesses, lighting, switches, control panels, sirens, and power distribution.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and work instructions.
Route, loom, secure, and label wiring per standards and best practices.
Perform terminations, crimping, soldering, and connector installation.
Test electrical systems for functionality, troubleshoot issues, and fix defects.
Follow SOPs, quality checks, and documentation requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Collaborate with team members and departments to meet production schedules.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and efficiency.
