Job summary

Township High School District 211 at Fremd High School is seeking a 3rd shift custodian to perform nightly cleaning, lamp replacements, and general maintenance. You will work a 12-month schedule from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, under the Night Foreman and Facilities leadership.

The role requires familiarity with custodial equipment, safety practices, and the ability to follow instructions while performing physically demanding tasks. This position supports school activities and events.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with maintenance equipment for tile and carpet.
• Safety habits and ability to perform custodial tasks.
• Ability to understand instructions and work physically.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas assigned by Night Foreman.
• Replace fluorescent/incandescent lamps in assigned areas.
• Maintain security in housekeeping areas.
• Assist with building set-ups for rentals and school activities.
• Assist with snow removal operations.
• Maintain fixed asset records as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

3rd Shift Custodian
12-month hourly employee
Days of Work: Monday to Saturday
Times of Shift: 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Job Summary

• Responsible for cleaning areas assigned by the Night Foreman.
• Replaces fluorescent and incandescent lamps in assigned areas.
• Maintains security in housekeeping areas.
• Responsible for building set-ups for rentals, school activities, and continuing education.
• Assists with snow removal operations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset records to include additional, replacement and disposed of fixed asset inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Third Shift Supervisor and/or Building and Grounds Manager & the Director of Purchasing & Facilities.

Qualifications

• Be familiar with all types of equipment used in maintenance of tile floors and carpet.
• Possess safety habits, skills and insight while performing custodial work.
• Knowledgeable in all areas of housekeeping.
• Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks.

Working Conditions

Is under the supervision of the Foreman, Building and Grounds Manager, and Director of Purchasing and Facilities.

Terms of Employment

Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the District 211 Operations Maintenance Group
