Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Allentown, PA is seeking a Lead Packaging/Labeling Technician to oversee pharmaceutical packaging operations and ensure GMP compliance.

The role includes leading teams, coordinating room operations, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
• Leadership experience preferred with ability to train, mentor and guide team members.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with SAP and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in clean rooms and cold rooms (-20°C to 8°C).
• Overtime and various shifts as needed.

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

• 4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: Science, engineering or related technical field
• Leadership experience preferred with ability to train, mentor and guide team members
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and quality systems
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
• Proficiency with computers and manufacturing systems (SAP, etc.)
• Strong mathematical skills for calculations, measurements, and reconciliation
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in various environments including clean rooms, cold rooms (-20°C to 8°C)
• Vision requirements: 20/40 corrected vision, color vision discrimination
• Ability to work overtime and various shifts as needed
• Experience with automated packaging equipment preferred
• Ability to wear required PPE including respirators, safety glasses, clean room garments
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
