Job summary

Generant, a longtime NJ manufacturer, is seeking a 3rd Shift CNC Machine Operator. You will load bars, read drawings, inspect parts, and maintain safe, productive machines in a union-like ESOP environment.

Key requirements include reading engineering drawings, caliper use, and English communication. Shift hours include 11:00pm–7:30am with pay differentials on 2nd/3rd shifts; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with calipers, comparators, depth micrometer and surface finish tester.
• Ability to read and comprehend English instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English.
• Prior CNC Operator experience or manufacturing certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and load bars into multi-axis turning CNC machines.
• Read engineering drawings and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Inspect parts with calipers and gauges; record inspection data.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and report issues to supervisor.
• Change tools, adjust offsets, and manage multiple machines efficiently.
