Job summary

Nemco Food Equipment is seeking a capable machine operator for a production environment. The role involves tending to machines, polishing parts, and maintaining quality after a training period.

Description Nemco Food Equipment is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of these piece parts to the assembly operations with a very experienced staff of laborers who can operate a variety of work centers able to prepare and polish raw castings and components into quality parts. In this job, you will work in a production environment, continuously tending to machine. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Durations of set-ups and run times will vary. Tasks require a moderate degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Polishing of parts using burnishing tanks and/or sandblaster.

Ability to keep an accurate count of inventory.

Responsible for time management.

Relevant Work Experience

Experience as a machine operator in a production environment is preferred.

Work Schedule
  • This is a 3rd shift position. You will start on 1ast shift and after an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Training is expected to last about 3 weeks, at which time you will move to 3rd shift.
  • Sunday night - Friday morning (9:00pm - 5:00am; 8-hour shift 20 minute paid lunch) Subject to Change
  • Occasional overtime is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.

Lifting: Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Walking: Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile).

Carrying: Occasional carrying bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances.

Pushing: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.

Pulling: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.

Bending: Frequent bending is required to perform a variety of tasks.

Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from fixtures in machine, tubs, carts, or pallets.

Handling: Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.

Gripping: Frequent gripping of parts while operating the burnisher.
