Job summary

UG2, based in Boston, MA, seeks a skilled Boiler Mechanic to operate, maintain, renovate, and repair boiler systems within a facility. The role ensures safe, compliant heat generation and distribution as part of the site’s essential infrastructure.

Responsibilities include installation, inspection, calibration of controls, and prompt response to service calls. You will work with various teams to ensure code compliance and keep management informed about project status and progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus vocational training or apprenticeship, and five years of related experience.
• Knowledge of local boiler codes and regulations is required, as well as a fireman license.
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
• Excellent understanding of boiler systems, including the ability to read system diagrams and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems within the facility.
• Calibrate and regularly adjust boiler controls to maximize efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational and boiler system issues.
• Respond to service calls and requests related to boiler systems.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, suppliers, and inspectors for code compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in field safety and boiler codes.
