Job summary

Our client, a plastics manufacturing company in Janesville, has immediate openings for 2nd and 3rd shift machine operators. Positions are long-term temporary with potential for hire after probation, based on performance and business needs.

Shifts: 2nd shift 3pm–11pm, Mon–Fri; 3rd shift 11pm–7am, Sun–Thu. Training for 1–2 weeks on 1st or 2nd shift is highly preferred. Pay is $19/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, plastics industry a plus.
• Manual dexterity to assemble, operate, adjust and inspect.
• Near vision to handle small parts and detect defects.
• Color vision and depth perception required.
• Able to take direction and work well in a team.
• Reading and basic math to understand training guides and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production adheres to procedures and standards.
• Record production data on the required sheets.
• Package and label parts; verify accurate labeling and conformity.
• Ensure product matches labels and quality requirements.
• Perform quality checks and assist with clean workstation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

We have immediate openings for 2nd and 3rd shift machine operators with our client, a plastics manufacturing company in Janesville.

These are long term temp roles with opportunity for hire after completion of probationary period, based on performance and business need.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure production in compliance with procedures
• Produce in accordance with procedures and standards (production, quality, flows, health & safety, etc.). Record production on the relevant sheets
• Package and identify parts produced and affix labels
• Validate conformity between the product and product labels
• Quality control
• Clean his/her stations

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous manufacturing experience. plastics industry experience preferred
• Manual dexterity to assemble, operate, adjust and inspect
• Near vision to handle small parts and to detect visual defects
• Normal color vision and depth perception capability
• Ability to take direction from others
• Communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
• Reading and basic math comprehension to understand and interpret training guides, standard operating procedures and quality information

Schedule:

2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm Mon - Fri

3rd shift, 11pm-7am Sun-Thurs

Ability to train for 1-2 weeks on 1st or 2nd shift highly preferred

Pay:

$19/hour
