Job summary

Bushland ISD is seeking a 2026-2027 3rd Grade Teacher for Bushland Intermediate School in Bushland, Texas. Immediate starting date with responsibilities to deliver core instruction, manage classroom behavior, and engage students in learning aligned with district curriculum.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate, and demonstrate competency in the subject area. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training/work experience for certification waivers under the DOI.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations for differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology per TEA guidelines and student needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
