Job summary

Liberty Grove Schools is seeking a Third Grade Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The teacher will develop and implement lessons aligned with Indiana standards, provide feedback to students and parents, and foster a positive, collaborative classroom environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Graduate Degree preferred) and an Indiana teaching license or charter licensure. Competitive salary with benefits and opportunities for merit increases are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Graduate Degree preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in academic subjects.
• Valid Indiana State Teacher’s License or Charter School Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards.
• Plan and use learning strategies, activities, equipment, and technology to accommodate the learning needs of each student.
• Communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Provide routine feedback to students, colleagues, and parents regarding progress.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student academic achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and supporting student development.
• Cultivate positive student behavior with transparent routines aligned to core values.
• Collaborate in department, school, district, and parent meetings and staff development.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.

About the Role

Liberty Grove Schools is seeking classroom teachers to provide academic instruction that will guide and encourage students to develop academic subject matter and social skills.Join our LGS team as we continue to grow!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill requirements of the school's curriculum and the Indiana Academic Standards
• Lesson Plan Internalization: Plan and use learning strategies, activities, equipment, and technology to accommodate the learning needs of each student
• Communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Provide routine feedback to students, colleagues, and parents regarding progress, based on observed performance and development
• Data-Driven Mindset: Conduct ongoing assessment of student academic achievement through formal and informal testing
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, supporting the physical, social, and emotional development of students
• Cultivate positive student behavior by establishing transparent routines and systems aligned to Liberty Grove Schools core values
• Collaboration: Participation in department, school, district, and parent meetings; including staff development
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, test, and assignments
• Perform additional duties as assigned
