Job summary

Elite Workforce LLC is seeking a qualified 3rd Class Marine Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment aboard marine vessels and within shipyard facilities.

This position requires a strong understanding of marine electrical systems, construction drawings, and industry standards to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years marine electrical experience preferred; or one (1) year of continuous company experience in a related electrical field.
• Ability to read and interpret standard construction drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable commercial and military electrical specifications, codes, and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and test electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems aboard vessels and in shipyard environments.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Utilize electrical tools, gauges, meters, and testing equipment to perform installations and repairs.
• Assist with electrical system design implementation, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

• Maintain a safe and organized work area while adhering to company and customer safety policies.

Qualifications

Required Experience

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret standard construction drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems operations and the use of job-related tools, gauges, meters, and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with all phases of craft-specific marine construction, including design implementation, installation, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Knowledge of applicable commercial and military electrical specifications, codes, and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shipyard environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in shipyard and marine environments, including confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
• Shipyards, marine vessels, industrial facilities, and related construction environments.
• Exposure to noise, dust, electrical equipment, and other industrial conditions while following established safety procedures.
