Job summary

A3D Manufacturing is seeking a 3D Printer Technician I in Phoenix. This role supports manufacturing operations, post-processing, quality inspections, and fulfillment of customer orders across multiple additive manufacturing technologies.

You will work Monday–Friday, 1pm–10pm, helping ensure timely, accurate production with strong safety and quality practices. Join a growth-focused team that values hands-on learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 1pm - 10pm at our Phoenix location.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within and across teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Adaptable and accountable, with a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 49 lbs unassisted and 50+ lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, prioritize, and process 3D print requests and customer requirements.
  • Operate and maintain various types of 3D printers and additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Perform post-processing activities and QA/QC inspections on printed and manufactured parts.
  • Package completed products and support shipping activities.
  • Track and maintain operational records for internal use and ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of manufacturing workspaces and production equipment.
  • Perform routine daily maintenance on production equipment.
  • Support compliance with OSHA safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with manufacturing operations and production-related activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure production timelines and quality expectations are met.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills related to additive manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives and contribute to process improvements as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THE 3DP TECHNICIAN I ROLE

WHAT WILL YOU NEED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS 3DP TECHNICIAN I ROLE?
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 1pm - 10pm at our Phoenix location

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or familiarity with 3D printing, additive manufacturing operations, or related technologies in manufacturing or production environments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS or Fusion 360
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment

A3D Manufacturing has determined that compensation for this role is between $19 - $20 per hour and will be based on knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Since we appreciate transparency, we are sharing that we expect to hire for this position towards the middle of this range (dependent on experience/location), which will allow you the opportunity to progress as you grow in your career. In addition to this hourly rate, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including generous paid time off, paid parental leave, company 401(k) match, and community service leave.
