Job summary

Actalent in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to create 3D piping and equipment models, draft, design and detail various mechanical projects, and coordinate with engineers to ensure design accuracy. This on-site role requires independent work and adherence to established procedures.

The position is contract-to-hire, with a pay range of $28.00–$38.00 per hour, and benefits eligible for eligible temporary staff. In-person work at our Sioux Falls office is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design, AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Solidworks.
• Strong skills in mechanical design and 3D modeling.
• Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication skills.
• Technical proficiency and superior organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional or Bluebeam Revu.
• Experience with CADWorx Plant 3D.
• Familiarity with document tracking databases.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of piping and equipment.
• Draft, design, and detail various mechanical projects.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure design accuracy.
• Prepare detailed mechanical layouts, plans, equipment, and piping drawings.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and practices independently.
