ZAP Engineering, Lakewood, CO, is seeking a Process Piping Designer to develop 3D piping models from P&ID drawings and vendor drawings, and to prepare the bill of materials.

The role requires 1+ years of drafting or modeling using AutoDesk products, and an Associate's degree is preferred. You will collaborate with the mechanical design team in a full-time, 40-hour work week with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years drafting or modeling experience using AutoDesk products.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Experience with P&ID and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling: Use P&ID drawings to create 3D piping models.
• Create 3D models from vendor drawings.
• Create 3D models of chutes and ducts.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to create an accurate model.
• Prepare final construction drawings to reflect the engineered design.
• Create piping isometric drawings from a 3D model.
• Create piping plans from a 3D model.
• Prepare a bill of materials from a 3D model.
• Create detailed drawings for fabrication from 3D model.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
