Job summary

Appen is seeking a Data Annotation Analyst to label camera imagery, video, and LiDAR data to support perception models. You will follow detailed specifications, balance accuracy and production volume, and participate in calibration sessions to maintain consistent interpretations.

Experience with image annotation workflows and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are valued. A degree (associate or bachelor) is preferred, and familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with accuracy in repetitive, visually intensive work.
• Proven spatial reasoning with 3D interpretation and object sizing/orientation.
• Ability to learn and navigate complex, purpose-built annotation software.
• Experience delivering with defined productivity/quality targets in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with image annotation GenAI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Annotate 2D and 3D objects across images, video, and LiDAR data.
• Create and maintain segmentation, tracking, pose, and keypoint annotations.
• Apply guidelines with defined class definitions and occlusion rules.
• Review work and respond to QA feedback to maintain quality.
• Document data quality issues with clear reproduction steps.
• Participate in calibration sessions and guideline reviews.
