Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in the St. Louis area is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to convert project information into drawings and fabrication documentation.

The position involves creating 3D models in AutoCAD and preparing detailed drawings for the fabrication team. This temp-to-perm opportunity is on-site and requires a minimum two-year degree in Design or CAD (or equivalent experience), proficiency with AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of tolerances, PID and PFD concepts, manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two year degree in Design, CAD, or related, or equivalent experience.
• Prior design experience in a technical field is preferred.
• Understanding of tolerances and limitations, including various mechanical system operation.
• Must be proficient with AutoCAD.
• Understanding of PID's and PFD's.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Convert project information into drawings and other documentation for the fabrication team.
• Create 3D models in AutoCAD and develop precise drawings for manufacturing.

As a Designer, you will be responsible for converting project information into drawings and other documentation for the fabrication team. This person will be making 3D models in Autocad.

This is a temp to possible permanent role that is a long-term need for my client. This position must be worked on-site.
