Bird Electric Enterprises is seeking a crafts supervisor to direct and oversee the operation of construction equipment, including cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, and conveyors. You will plan weekly crews, ensure safe and efficient work, and enforce safety protocols across the team.
The role requires NCCER certifications, prior supervisory experience, and a strong ability to coordinate with multiple trades on a busy site.

Direct and supervise the operation of all construction equipment working efficiently and safely. Assuring the proper diagnoses, adjustment, repair, or overhaul of mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, graders, and conveyors, used in construction. Plan and coordinate the efforts of the lead men and craft workers under his/her supervision and motivate them to accomplish the work safely, correctly and efficiently.
Previous experience as a supervisor One of more of the following NCCER Certifications: NCCER Heavy Equipment Operations NCCER Highway / Heavy Construction NCCER Mobile Crane Operations NCCER Rigger NCCER Fundamentals of Crew Leadership NCCER Project Supe
Previous experience working as a mechanic and a strong working knowledge of the maintenance of construction equipment. Must have working knowledge of industrial construction equipment, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. In addition, must have all necessary tools (see Mechanic's tool list). Commercial driver's license is required when the equipment will be operated on public roads. Must set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity for the members of his/her crew. Must be at least 18 years of age. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
