Job summary

SaidGig is seeking contractors in the United States to capture immersive 360° vehicle-navigation footage using a compatible camera. This remote, contract role fits drivers who can record on planned trips or commutes that meet assignment requirements.

You will select assignments, mount and operate cameras, ensure video quality, and submit exports according to instructions. Prior 360° camera experience is preferred, with opportunistic assignments aligned to routes.

Capture immersive vehicle-navigation footage using a 360° action camera to provide high-quality real-world video for training next-generation AI systems. This contract role is designed for people who already use 360° cameras and can incorporate approved recording assignments into regular driving, commutes, or other planned trips.

Key Responsibilities

• Select available vehicle-navigation assignments from a predefined list.
• Record stable, continuous footage from a trailing third-person perspective while driving through real-world environments.
• Capture varied driving scenarios, including local roads, turns, stops, intersections, parking areas, parking maneuvers, and transitions between different road or neighborhood environments.
• Use proper mounting, stabilization, camera positioning, and reframing techniques to meet assignment specifications.
• Export and submit completed footage according to the required video format and assignment instructions.
• Review recordings independently before submission to verify camera angle, video quality, continuity, and environmental coverage.
• Contribute high-quality real-world video that supports the training and evaluation of advanced AI systems.

Qualifications

• Access to a compatible 360° action camera, such as an Insta360, GoPro MAX, or comparable device.
• Access to software capable of reframing and exporting 360° footage into a trailing third-person view.
• Experience with 360° camera operation, video post-production, driving, quality assurance, and managing assigned tasks.
• Understanding of camera mounting, stabilization, reframing, and video export workflows.
• Regular driving activity and the ability to incorporate approved assignments into existing trips.
• Strong attention to camera angle, recording quality, and coverage of the surrounding environment.
• Ability to independently inspect and verify footage before submission.
• Prior use of a 360° camera for automotive, travel, action-sports, or driving footage is ideal.
• A secure, vehicle-rated mounting system capable of producing the required exterior third-person perspective is strongly preferred.
• Limited mounting-equipment support may be available to qualified contractors who do not already have a compatible mount.

Work Terms

Contractor engagement

Remote opportunity centered on independently completed recording assignments.

Assignments can be completed around existing trips or commutes when a planned route matches an available assignment and meets its recording requirements.

Selected contractors may also have access to optional recording assignments unrelated to vehicle navigation. Participation depends on individual interest and assignment availability.

Assignment availability varies, and work may be claimed when an appropriate route and qualifying recording opportunity are available.

Compensation

$15 to $20 USD per hour per approved video.
